Delta Sigma Theta (ΔΣΘ) is a non-profit sorority of college-educated ladies who are known for their unparalleled public service. Emphasis is placed on the African American community.
The Delta Sigma Theta Sorority has been founded on January 13, 1913. The foundation took plate at Howard University by twenty-two (what a number !) young women. Today, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority is the largest African-American Greek-lettered sorority in the whole wide world.
Membership in Delta Sigma Theta is open to any woman that does meet the membership requirements, regardless of their race, nationality, or religion. Women may join through undergraduate chapters at a college or university, or after acquiring a college degree through a graduate chapter.
